It is currently the only Habanos brand that includes an extra fermentation for the Seco and Ligero filler leaves in special cedar barrels for its standard range. The extra ageing imparts a unique smoothness and rounding to the blend and has helped establish Cohiba as a worldwide symbol of excellence. Since its creation in 1966 the brand has grown to include four La Líneas; Classica (brand public in 1982), 1492 (first of the Siglo vitolas in 1992), Maduro 5 (2007) and Behike (2010), each with a distinct character and taste.The Cohiba Ambar is the first addition to the brand’s Línea Classica range since the introduction of the Pirámides Extra in 2012.
